Becoming a sponsor of the Ayele Foundation
Why, when there are so many organizations with the purpose of aiding Africa, should you invest in Ayele?
• We are following a model that has been proven through time: bringing transformational change to communities by giving them the tools to continue on, long after our work with them is completed. One school and one child at a time, we can empower entire communities. By partnering with schools who are willing to give of their time, talents and resources; by introducing new and innovative curriculums that can attract passionate educators; and by making technology accessible to rural Ghana, we can create a sea change in countless lives. We have a specific criteria established for vetting the schools who apply for our program to ensure that they will be able to be self-sustaining as each phase of our projects are completed.
• We have first-hand knowledge of the lack of dynamic education in rural Africa. Six of the members of our team were either raised in Ghana or have spent time there performing humanitarian service. We know the language, customs, and channels of government. We have seen that even a rudimentary education can change lives, and we know that the kind of change that we can bring can revolutionize life in rural Ghana. Most importantly, we know the faces of the people we lived and served with, and their stories remain with us. We made promises to them that their needs would not be forgotten. By providing funding to the Ayele Foundation, you can show them and so many others that to the world, they are not forgotten.
• We believe in being good stewards. Of the monies that have been raised since the foundation was organized, over 90% of those funds have gone directly toward fulfilling the mission and express goals of fostering education in rural Ghana. We know that for every dollar we raise, there are schools to be developed, new lessons and curriculum to create, and lives to change. We are driven by a cause larger than ourselves– we are meeting the needs of the one.
• We know that innovation and partnerships are the only ways to grow and thrive long-term. And so we commit to our donors that we will constantly evaluate best practices, explore new technology and learning mediums that will enhance our outcomes, and create opportunities to partner with like-minded organizations to do the most good. In the short amount of time that the Ayele Foundation has existed, we have already met others who believe they can assist the African people in going on with their education to better their lives, including micro-lending organizations and scholarship reimbursement programs. But we believe that our efforts will be most effective if we focus our energies on our strengths, and let others lead the way in complementary venues.
• Lastly, but most importantly, we know that a child who grows up with the knowledge and capabilities to learn about the world around them in a way that can prepare them for a purposeful life and with a sense of how they can bless the world can do an innumerable amount of good. We know that literacy and education can prepare a people for greater growth than they could attain without the love of another.
We can change the world, one child and one school at at time. Will you join us?
